Bee and David are actually good friends of ours (my hubby and I that is), so when they got engaged naturally I was over the moon. Bee and I had some fun creating a chalkboard style cake for their engagement party and not long after started thinking about wedding designs.
David wore a kilt in the Help The Heroes tartan, so we thought it'd be good to take the navy from it onto the cake with a textured pleat effect for added depth. I created sugar flower arrangements to match Bee's bouquet. Bee really wanted to incorporate some copper leaf into her design so we added a few flecks to accentuate the flowers.
The best bit for me was being a guest at the wedding...it meant that I actually got to see their reactions as they seen their finished cake for the first time. Speechless...which most definitely isn't this couple at all.
"Emma created our perfect wedding cake, we went through a few different designs though with Emma’s magic touch we got our beautiful cake. Emma’s creative skills are beyond amazing and nothing is to much, she is more than willing to help you find what your looking for. Everyone that attended our wedding commented on how amazing our cake looked not to mention the taste, it was soft moist and tasted delicious...the only problem was there was none left for us the next day hahaha. Emma’s skills for baking and designing any cake are beyond amazing there is nothing this lady can’t do. We would definitely highly recommend Emma Stewart Cake Design."
